Yes, the 2022 BMC Convention will be going ahead in February – but like all similar events will have to comply with HMUK Government, NHS England, Blackpool Council and Winter Gardens regulations and restrictions that could be in place at the time. If restrictions and regulations are enforced by HMUK Government for the health and safety of our registrants, dealers, artistes and staff we will adhere to them.

Like all events we must comply with HMUK Government, NHS England, Blackpool Council and Winter Gardens regulations and restrictions that could be in place at the time
Current regulations state that Every adult  must show:

  • via the NHS or equivalent pass that they are fully vaccinated.
  • or they have an official test result either of a lateral flow (antigen) test or PCR test in their name within 48 hours. (proof via text, email or app)

Face masks must be worn at all times around the convention by all over 12 years old. Unless medically exempt, you may be asked to show this exemption. Face masks do not need to be worn when seated in the café/ bar areas.

Whilst this is not a mandatory requirement at present, we do recommend a lateral flow test, or similar. This should reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 when attending the convention.

Please note: If you are not ‘fully Vaccinated’ a test will need to be taken and registered via NHS or private company with your name on to access the convention.
