Covid FAQs

We ask that you do not attend Blackpool Magic Convention event if:

  • You have COVID-19 Symptoms (including a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell)
  • You have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days
    You have tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days
  • Have recently arrived in England and government guidelines require you to self-isolate.
  • Have been instructed to self-isolate.

Yes, the 2022 BMC Convention will be going ahead in February – but like all similar events will have to comply with HMUK Government, NHS England, Blackpool Council and Winter Gardens regulations and restrictions that could be in place by 2022. If restrictions and regulations are enforced by HMUK Government for the health and safety of our registrants, dealers, artistes and staff we will adhere to them.

If restrictions and regulations are enforced by HMUK Government for the health and safety of our registrants, dealers, artistes and staff in February 2022, BMC will adhere to them.

Therefore, at the present time, we cannot confirm that you can still attend if not vaccinated.

There are currently no mandatory regulations to state you must wear a mask. But for the safety of all involved when visiting the convention, we strongly recommend that you wear a face covering during your visit unless exempt or consuming food or drink.

Whilst this is not a mandatory requirement at present, we do recommend a lateral flow test, or similar. This should reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 when attending the convention.
